We just concluded our tour of the US Bridal market on September 26th 2011. Our US designers gave us a sneak peak of the 2012 designs. Ladies and gentlemen, I have to say wow!! expect gorgeous stunning styles to blow your mind away. We saw lots of texture, elegance, chic and romantic styles to complement every body shape. We took pictures of the runway show, listed below are top trends that seem prevalent for next year!
Most of these gowns will show up on the manufacturer's web sites by December 2011. We hope to have some of the gowns at our shop on Kampala Rd by then.
Trend 1: Lots of 3D dimensional floral textures, ruffles, free floating and romantic!
Trend # 2: The sleeves are back. Special thanks to the royal wedding!!
Trend # 3: Gorgeous backs. Expect to see intricate and elaborate back detail in 2012
Trend # 4: Short gowns were everywhere, embellished with feathers, ruffles
Trend # 5: The touch of color, black and white gothic style gowns will be a popular trend
Trend # 6: Flowers and feathers! will top the detailing of the wedding gowns in 2012
Trend # 7: Lace and tulle gowns in a mermaid silhouette with lots of layers
Trend # 8: The headbands, cathedral veils and hats, were a popular accessory
Trend # 9 & 10: For the bridesmaids expect more of the short mini and floral dresses
